Priest Respecs

Priests are one of the few classes that will require some kind of communication between each other regarding who will be speccing into what. For example, we don't need all of you to have spirit, because some of you could be healing more effectively if you didn't spend the points to get DS.

Also, I don't think anyone should have PI anymore since it does gimp healing to some extent. Sure you can heal and all still but, you could be healing in a better fashion if you put those points in say, spiritual healing instead.

I guess the first step here would be to decide who would be speccing for spirit and who wouldn't be. The people that spec to gain divine spirit would have to be the people with extremely high attendance and will be there everynight pretty much. Those are the people with 90%+ at least, such as Alize, Eviltree, Evisick, etc. I'll leave it to you guys decide, anyways reply back here with feedback!

With my healing style and gear, I'd prefer to stay the spec I currently am, 32holy, rest disc. I do not have DS and do better and am more effective into spiritual healing.

I do well with my current spec as well, I would like to keep PI if I could but I will respec more holy if needed

I'm going to make a point about spiritual healing.

10% of the base healing of a spell:

Average of flash heal base = 900 health
10% of 900 = 90
The amount of +healing on your gear it would take to add +90 to your flash heal = 90 / 0.40 = 225 +healing

Average of Greater Heal 5 base = 2200 health
10% of 2200 = 220
The amount of +healing on your gear it would take to add +220 to your greater heal = ~220 +healing

I mean, even when you consider that it's only a +35 ish healing bonus to your heal rank 1, would you really shake a stick at a free +35 healing when that is the difference between a trans robe and a prophecy robe (that and a tiny bit of stam)?

No matter how you look at it, 10% of your healing is huge. Considering that a full trans set has only +301 healing, an effective +225 healing to your flash can be very significant to the raid.

I would like to drop spirit so I can finish my points off in spiritual guidance. Do you guys think three priest is really enough for a whole raid... considering what if one of them, possibly two of the priest with spirit isnt there. what do you guys think keep 4 priest ? or is 3 enough?

Also, a whole raid usually consists of about 30 people, or less, that have mana. Those rogues and warriors usually don't need spirit, I don't know, I think we've been fine, but you'll have to ask your fellow priests.

I was going to go my old spec of 25/26/0 or something similar to that but I decided to go 31/20/0 instead just to try it out. PI isn't really all that useful to me but in some situations I can use it. I mainly just give it to mages/locks unless Hwajeh decides he wants it ;p

this is the most i have ever seen multiple priests talk to each other :lol:
