Man I like your target area Kastore. I was using those same unit frames with a fairly similar setup before I switched back to default to help with lag. It really sucks using the default ui compared to what you guys are using, I think I'm going to switch again as spell details seem to be the main cause of lag for me anyway.

I have a bunch of extra shit on my bars for some reason on this one (fuck you friendship bracelets), but this is the basic idea. You can see parrot fading away a bit, but it tracks cds and whatnot and makes sounds when hot streak procs, living bomb explodes, or we're lazy and let scorch fall off. Focus and focus target above target and target's target. It works fine for me but to each his own.

Yah I used to play with a HUD religiously for the first 2 or 3 years of this game but then made the switch and constructed a UI that emulated a HUD but was much quicker to the point. I felt I had to look at my HUD too long/too hard to see certain things such as hp/focus/target, so I organized my frames in such a way to emulate it but have it much easier to recognize whats going on faster.

I looked more closely at some of the minimap mods people are using (e.g. Alakane and Tridav) and was wondering what you use? I currently use Squeenix but as you can see the buttons around the minimap aren't linear. I haven't looked in detail to see if I can move those all exactly where I want them via Squeenix or some other mod.

What mods are you guys using for minimap and also what mod is used to move all the minimap buttons to wherever you want on your screen?

I personally use carbonite (its completely free now) and have the minimap go into that, carbonite also has the minimap button thing, but alternatively you could use simpleMinimap and minimap button frame or minimapbuttonbag.
Carbonite can get pesky with the minimap its just a matter of tweaking how you want it.

Oh... and the full version supposedly has a Gatherer app on it... I shall have to check that out. I was upset that the old version of Carbonite I used to use did not have this capability. That will mean one less mod to deal with for me if it does work well.

On a side note, has anyone found a good memory/fps addon that doesn't take a lot of configuration?

I use Light N' Stylish Minimap (makes it square) and all the buttons are TidyMinimap. They are miniscule addons with no GUI that requires you to edit them through the LUA file directly.
TidyMinimap has a tendency to put my buttons out of whack but they fix themselves fairly quickly. I use em because practically no impact on loadtime and they take no memory.

I was just wondering what the chat box add-on that Alakane, Hwajeh, and Cyragar use is. If you could let me know that would be awesome. I'm trying to get as little clutter on my screen as possible but I cant work with one cast bar like Hwajeh can.
